Total contract value reaches $377.1 million; organization hiring immediately in El Paso

El Paso, Texas, April 6, 2026 — ReadyOne Industries has secured a $183.4 million contract modification with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support, bringing the total contract value to approximately $377.1 million. The contract, originally awarded in September 2024, supports the production of Joint Service Lightweight Integrated Suit Technology (JSLIST) chemical protective garments for all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.
ReadyOne is hiring immediately to meet increased production demand, with a focus on Sewing Machine Operators and manufacturing roles across El Paso. The contract provides long-term production continuity for mission-critical protective equipment used in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) environments. Most of the jobs created through this expansion will go to workers with disabilities.
"This modification reflects the confidence the Department of War has placed in our team and our ability to deliver," said Craig Wellons, President and CEO. "Most of the jobs this expansion creates will go to people with disabilities — that is the mission. We are proud to grow employment in El Paso while supporting the men and women who defend our nation."
As one of the largest AbilityOne manufacturing operations in the country, ReadyOne combines a mission-driven workforce with the production discipline required to meet federal defense standards.
