ReadyOne Ambassador Ruben Martinez Represents Our Mission in Washington, D.C.
Last week, ReadyOne Ambassador Ruben Martinez proudly represented ReadyOne Industries at the Grassroots Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C.
Ruben, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a visual disability, traveled to our nation’s capital to share his experience and help bring the ReadyOne story directly to congressional offices. Alongside advocates from across the country, Ruben helped raise awareness about the importance of meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities and the impact of the AbilityOne Program.
As both a veteran and a member of the ReadyOne team, Ruben brings a meaningful perspective to our mission. His experience reflects the connection between the work our employees do every day and the military community our organization is proud to support.
During his time in Washington, Ruben had the opportunity to advocate for employment opportunities that allow people of all abilities to use their skills, build careers, and contribute to work with a greater purpose.
For ReadyOne, having one of our own employees represent our workforce on a national stage is something we are incredibly proud of. Ruben carried with him not only his own story, but also the dedication and accomplishments of the employees who make ReadyOne what it is today.
His participation serves as an important reminder that advocacy can create greater awareness and understanding of the impact meaningful employment has on individuals, families, and communities.
We are proud of Ruben for representing ReadyOne, his fellow veterans, and the El Paso community in Washington, D.C. Thank you, Ruben, for helping share our mission and showing what it means to protect our military heroes, one stitch at a time.
