ReadyOne
Industries also manufactures corrugated paper products,
such as boxes, postal sleeves, dividers, etc. We have
invested in additional machinery and headcount to
increase our capacity. Although we currently run only
one shift in this department, our plans for future
growth include adding an additional shift and further
investment in machinery, automation and product
development.
In the sewing
facility, all current direct labor workforce is geared
towards making military uniforms and accessories, but we
are able to draw upon resources from heavily-manned
operations or other facilities to formulate
manufacturing cells and areas for new products. The
downturn in the Chemical Protective Outerwear business (JSLIST)
coupled with new strategies geared towards lean
manufacturing has enabled us to redirect enough direct
labor headcount into new projects. We also have a large
training center that would accommodate associate
training in the event we needed additional capacity.
ReadyOne
Industries normally does not subcontract with other
entities because we have been able to absorb all
assigned projects without the need to subcontract with
other entities. However, we welcome the opportunity to
draw upon many of our contacts in the industry to forge
a productive relationship with another JWOD or
commercial entity. We have manufactured for American
Apparel, Proper International, UNICOR/FPI and NIB/NISH.
ReadyOne
Industries’ vendor selection is based upon historical
delivery and quality performance. Vendors are typically
chosen for quality and delivery, but cost plays an
important role in vendor selections as well.
ReadyOne
Industries is not bound to manufacture more of one
product than another and is not limited to the
manufacture of only current projects. ReadyOne welcomes
new opportunities for products or services.
