TITLE: Manufacturing Cost Engineer

Develop and implement expedient and accurate costing representations of various and varied manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The Manufacturing Cost Engineer (MCE) functions exactly as a manufacturing engineer, except that this position places a heavy emphasis on costing and pricing new products, especially those that reside under commercial business and commercial market segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associates or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or Business Administration.
Experience: Five years working in apparel or sewing related industry or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience relating to commercial products and/or Third Party Logistics very desirable.
Specific Skills: English proficiency required/ Spanish proficiency is helpful. Industrial Engineering skills and knowledge related to apparel or sewn products manufacturing.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc: Must be able to learn time-study and predetermined time systems such as MTM or GSD (used in the apparel industry). In trade and as a surrogate, the candidate may possess strong industrial engineering background.
Other Skills and Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills required. Ability to use general office equipment (i.e. facsimile, photocopy, and/or related office peripherals). Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Physical Demands: Frequently sits, bends, kneels, and reaches out with hands/arms. Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
