TITLE: Human Resources Generalist

Hours: Mon-Thu 6:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm
Responsible for the development and administration of Employee Relations Programs. All methods of practice and/or work performance shall conform to written established policies and procedures. Interfaces with employees, government agencies, and educational institutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process termination and resignation paperwork with employees. Responsible for the documentation of employee relations issues and resolution in HRIS system and employee personnel file. Assist with EEO Investigations and other labor-related issues as assigned. Responsible for documenting employee relations, and attendance issues in HRIS system and personnel files. Assist supervisors, and department mangers settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation. Recommend solutions to administration when repetition of individual problems indicates negative trends. Ensure adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Programs. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Conduct specialized labor law training. Create and/ or answer employment verification requests. Provide ADA accommodations for Non-AbilityOne employees. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree and/or Human Resources certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years related experience in Human Resources, employee relations experience preferred.
Specific Skills: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish). Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information. Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Detail oriented, logical and effective approach to problem solving. Must have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with employees in all levels of the organization. Possess the ability to plan and schedule the work of direct reports. Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationship with department personnel in a team-oriented environment.
