Gary Hedrick, past president and CEO of El Paso Electric Company, joined the board in 2008, and was elected Chairman in 2015. He is a consultant on financial and regulatory issues, and serves as Adjunct Professor of Corporate Enterprise at the University of Texas at El Paso. Gary received his BBA and MBA degrees in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso, and graduated from the Kennedy School of Government Executive Leadership Course at Harvard University in 2000. A past Distinguished Alumni Gold Nugget Award recipient at UTEP and member of the El Paso Business Hall of Fame, Gary serves on the advisory board of Las Palmas Medical Center, the development boards of both UTEP and the Paul Foster School of Medicine, the Business Advisory Council at UTEP and is a founding member of the Paso Del Norte Group. He remains extremely active in the community with service on numerous other civic and charitable organizations.
Nancy Heimbaugh, principal owner of LMP Alliance LLC., a government contracting consulting firm, is a senior acquisition professional with more than 35+ years with the Department of Defense. She joined the ReadyOne Board of Directors in 2014 and was elected to the role of Secretary in 2015. Ms. Heimbaugh retired from civil service in February 2014 as a member of the Senior Executive Service. Prior to that, she served as Director, Acquisition, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) managing a $46B global contracting enterprise for the Department of Defense. In this capacity, she was responsible for the development, application, and oversight of the DLA acquisition policy, strategies, programs, functional systems and operations. She served as the Senior Procurement Executive and Component Acquisition Executive for the Agency. Prior to her retirement, Ms. Heimbaugh was awarded the E.R. “Dick” Alley Career Achievement Award in recognition of her efforts to create employment opportunities for people who are blind or have significant disabilities under the AbilityOne Program. Ms. Heimbaugh has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Strayer University and a Master’s degree in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. Ms. Heimbaugh serves as a Director on the Procurement Round Table and is a member of the National Contract Management Association Board of Advisors. She also serves on other corporate Boards.
General Solomon joined the ReadyOne board in September 2014. He is a former Senior Executive leader and global thinker with a strong marketing, business development and information technology experience. He has been a member of three executive advisory boards where he provided advice and services in areas of Executive Program Management, Logistic Strategies and Acquisitions, and Business Development. He has served in CEO equivalent position, as a Lieutenant General, responsible for developing doctrine, training, leader development, organizational designs, material and information technology, and man-technical requirements for the United States Army. He also served as President/COO of a service disabled veteran owned small business; and as Vice President of a large Information Technology company. Gen. Solomon received his Bachelor’s Degree in Government Contracts/Acquisition Management from The Florida Institute of Technology. He is married and has two children and two grandchildren.
Robert Rockey is the former president of Levi Strauss and Company, was named to the Board of Directors in 2013. He spent over 30 years in several leadership functions in the commercial apparel business in the United States and Europe, culminating in his position as president of Levi Strauss North America, from which he retired in 1996. He served as vice president of marketing at Mann Manufacturing in El Paso in the ‘70s, and as merchandise manager of Federated Department Stores in Columbus, Ohio in the ‘60s. Bob is a retired captain in the United States Navy. He served seven years in active service and 24 years in the active reserve. He completed four tours in Vietnam, commanded 11 distinct units and his last tour of active service was on the Middle East Battle Staff in Ryad. A graduate of Ohio State University with a BS in Business Administration, Rockey also completed postgraduate marketing studies at Stanford University.
Marina Ardovino was appointed to the Board of Directors of ReadyOne Industries in 2010. She is co-owner and Vice President of Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, where she is responsible for the daily operations at the fine dining restaurant and banquet facility. She oversees management, accounting, business development and HR. Ms. Ardovino received her BA Degree from the University of California, San Diego and studied abroad in Italy. A native El Pasoan, she has worked in all capacities at the family-owened business since 1985. She is on the Board of the Better Business Bureau El Paso, a member of Executive Forum and company member of AUSA.
Carmen Arrieta-Candelaria, CPA, CGFM, is the Deputy Superintendent for Finance and Operations for the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD). Carmen has over 25 years of professional executive level experience in the public and private sectors, serving as Chief Financial Officer for the City of El Paso for over 10 years and as Associate Superintendent for Finance for the Gadsden Independent School District for approximately eight years. In addition, she holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s of Accounting degree, both from New Mexico State University. She has been certified as a Certified Public Accountant in Texas since May 1993.
In August 2015, Carmen was appointed to the Texas State Lottery Commission by Governor Greg Abbott. In April 2015, she was appointed as a Board of Director for ReadyOne Industries of El Paso, a non-profit organization. Carmen also serves on the Finance Council for the El Paso Chamber of Commerce and is the Chair of the Committee for 2017. Since February 2011, Carmen has served as a board member of the El Paso Policeman and Fireman Pension Fund. She is the past President of the El Paso Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants, having served from 2013 through 2015 and she is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the GFOA. She previously served on the TSCPA Professional Standards Committee for three years. She received the “She’s Our Hero” award by the Women in Public Finance national organization in January 2013 as well as named the CPA of the Year by the El Paso Chapter of TSCPA in May 2013. She was also named as “Women of Impact” by El Paso, Inc. in 2016. In addition to her professional achievements, she is engaged in her community and volunteers her time to various causes.
Brad Davis is President and Co-CEO of MSI Guaranteed Weather, LC in Overland Park, Kansas. He is a senior executive with a wide range of experience, including legal and regulatory management, strategic planning and implementation, technology development and licensing, financial and credit risk oversight, as well as international relations and joint ventures. Davis also serves as President of a Bermuda-based Class 3 insurance company and is a member of the Board of Directors of Midwest Merchandising Inc., an owner-operator of eleven independent bicycle retail stores and is a former advisory board member of Pioneer Registration Services, an online event organization platform business. Mr. Davis obtained a BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University and a Law Degree and Masters in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Davis is married, has two children, and actively volunteers in several church and youth sports oriented programs in the Kansas City metro area.
